In 1998, Stitch Headz began in Idaho with Slade fabricating his own custom interiors and car audio as a hobby. As people at car shows started to notice his custom interiors, by request his hobby grew into a full-time business doing custom automotive upholstery. Slade and his family relocated to Cheyenne, Wyoming in 2007 where he continued to do custom upholstery. At customers' requests Stitch Headz began integrating custom sound systems into the interiors they were doing. In 2010 Stitch Headz was approached by multiple salesman representing the major car audio brands to open a retail storefront and carry their product. That is how Stitch Headz Car Audio came to exist.
